“Last weekend, in parallel with Caftan – the flagship event of Moroccan fashion – another major fashion show was held at the Palais Mehdi. The guest of honor was Ronald Kolk, a world-renowned Dutch designer. “It’s a way of forging links between Europe and the Arab world”, he says. And it was a show full of color and music. A tribute to traditional Moroccan fashion and folklore….
…Marrakech is now very popular with Dutch nationals. According to well-informed sources, several actors, fashion designers, including Kolk himself, and princesses are in the process of acquiring residences there. For Kolk, the idea for this show is not new. It was born in 2005 with the success of the “Morocco/Netherlands: 400 years of diplomatic relations” event. This event was marked by the strong participation of Moroccan artists.
